We're waiting for my wifes manuscript to get back in the next day or so (snail mail sucks), then its time for her to do the polish revisions, then its off to editors to pitch to the houses!

A friend of my wifes that she met through an online workshop, who through freak chance, happend to get the same agent as my wife a month before manuscript is already in the hands of the big six publishing houses, and it looks like theyre gonna be making offers for it very soon... this is good news for my wife, because the genre her friend writes in is the same, apparently edgy YA is the big hot seller right now.

Also of note to show how kick ass Joanna is, we found out that she also represents the co-creator of Portal, and the Art director of Half Life 2 and L4D... So if valve ever has any friends and family betas... we are soooo in

Wife is currently working on the agent suggested revisions for her novel, should hopefully be done by the end of this week... then just one more read through for the agent and they will start to sub it out to the publishing houses!

My wifes friend who I spoke about earlier, book just sold... I can't give all the details cause some are still super secret... but lets just say her friend is gonna be famous this time next year. When the friend can reveal the details to the general public Ill come back and share cause its crazy how good this agent is.

And by shitton I mean I regularly read 8-10 books a week and lately most of those are YA for the fun factor.

I'm currently re-reading Corneila Funke's Inkheart series.

Might have something to read pretty soon... my wife's agent pretty much just gave her a blanket offer of representation for anything she might cook up. Wife has a manuscript on the backburner she needs to work on, and the agent wants to gobble it up. First she needs to finish her revisions for her current manuscript... hopefully will be done soon. In her agents own words... "This could very well be the next "The Virgin Suicides". Man, thatd be sweet.
